Temple eaves - Shaolin Monastery
oct 8 2001

After the onslaught of the Chinese city the tinkling of the bells on the eaves and drifting clouds of incense in this peaceful setting could turn almost anyone to Buddhism. On the vey end of the eave you can just make out the figure of a man riding a chicken. This is a common motif thought to protect from lightning.
